The Durisol system consists of four widths of wall form unit – two with insulation and two without. The wider 365 unit can also be used without insulation as the permanent formwork for large retaining walls.
In addition, the face units are for jambs and internal return as well as being used to form insitu cast lintels which reduces cost.
External Walls
Two types of wall form units are offered for external wall use – 300mm (D300) or 365mm (D365) wide units.
Whether you choose 300mm or 365mm wide units will depend on the U-values required for the project and the space available.
The units can be supplied with PIR insulation.
The D250 units are used for retaining walls and for below ground construction such as basements where a greater width of concrete core may be required.
Internal Walls
Two types of wall form units are offered for internal wall use – D170 or D250 units.
The D170 units are generally used when there is a need for internal structural walls or a sound attenuation requirement.
The D250 units are used for internal party walls and for below ground construction such as basements where a greater width of concrete core may be required.
